Easy Way to Move

We were moving from Alberta to Ontario and had booked a different moving company. Two days before that moving company was suppose to pick up our items they cancelled.

We were in a scramble to find a new company. My husband contacted Easy Way to Move to see if they could help us.

The customer service started off great. They got back to use immediately, and worked quickly to squeeze our move in on such short notice.

We didn't have a final location set up in Ontario, so we had to wait to get a delivery address. On Aug 24th we got confirmation on our new home and arranged for our belongings to be delivered when we could move in on Sept 1st.

Sept 1st came, and no movers arrived. We got a call saying they couldn't get a truck that day and had forgotten to let us know in advance. They could come the following week on the 9th.

Sept 8th we got a call to confirm the time of delivery for the next day. Then a couple hours later we got another call saying that once again a truck wasn't available so the delivery would be delayed again, this time until the 13th.

The excuse was the fact that trucks were difficult to get on weekends. We had never asked for a weekend delivery. We wanted the earliest day possible.

During this time we had to live without our items, and my husband was unable to work as he is self employed and his equipment was with the company.

Our items were finally deliver on the 13th. While not in horrible condition, the boxes were somewhat squished and shown some abuse, but nothing was broken thankfully.

We were told we had 10 days to report anything missing. The next day, the 14th, I noticed that my plastic storage tower with my dogs' toys, extra supplies (collars, leashes, bowls, etc.) and over a dozen bandana sets that were a gift sewn from my sister for my 2 dogs, was missing.

My husband contacted the company to let them know immediately. We were told they would search for it and let us know.

We're just shy of a month since and have heard nothing.

I'm extremely disappointed. What I thought was a caring company that actually took pride in their customer service was just another company eager to get a new customer to get paid, then follow up with bad service and delivery.
